| ROTAX 2 Stroke Maintenance Program October 18th & 19th |
16 hour FAA approved repairman rating
120 hour repairman maintenance rating
Past attendance at a RFSC program with at least
a level 1 rating
Any recognized FAA or CAA repair or
maintenance rating from country of origin
(i.e.: A & P)

Students must show completion of the familiarizat ion program prior, or equivalent. The FAA 16 hour repairman program can be used as a prerequisite for enrolment. The program will show systems function, full disassembly and reassembly and ratings will be dependent on past training and experience. This program is designed for professional service providers or advanced owner maintenance technicians. |
ROTAX 4 Stroke Service Program
October 20th & 21st |
Basic Entry: No Pre-requisites required. |
Designed to train technicians on how to conduct the 100 hour/annual inspection. Students will learn how to find and identify service engine models, service bulletins, and manuals. Attendees will be shown all aspects of the 100 hour inspection and work with aircraft equipped with the 912 series Rotax® engine. Hands on experience is a crucial part of this program and students will learn the correct procedures for oil change, spark plug change, gearbox inspection, carburetion inspection and balance, compression testing, and other critical inspection items. In addition system operations will be explained such as the dual ignition system, the gear reduction system, the dry sump oiling system, and basic trouble shooting of these systems. The program is a 16 hour, 2 day, and complies with all requirements from Rotax® Aircraft Engines intended learning outcomes for this level |
| ROTAX 4 Stroke Maintenance Program October 22nd & 23rd |
Minimum Service Program rating from prior training or 120 hour repairman maintenance rating and proof of work already done with ROTAX
(past experience). |
Following successful completion of a Service Program a technician can take the Maintenance Program to learn how to change line replaceable parts. Line items that can be removed and replaced, such as the gearbox, the oil system, the cylinder heads, cylinders, pistons, and the ignition modules and coils, are all covered. Technicians will be shown and assist in the removal and replacement using the correct tooling and procedures as required by Rotax® Aircraft Engines. Expanded trouble shooting is also a part of this 16 hour, 2 day program. |
ROTAX 4 Stroke Heavy Maintnenance Program
October 24th & 25th |
Minimum Maintenance Program rating from prior training.NOTE:Students must be able to verify at least 2 years experience in ROTAX service and be within 24 months of prior training. |
The technician must have field experience and have competed the Service and Maintenance programs prior to enrolment. This program covers the repair to all parts to the engine with the exception of the splitting of the crankcase. Complete disassembly of the gearbox, the cylinder heads, the ignition housing, water pump, and the correct procedures and repairs are covered. The 16 hour, 2 day program will demonstrate all the tooling from Rotax® required. |
